It’s been a little over one year since my last post. I apologize for that. Life happens. I have been following questions and answering some throughout the time period but for the most part my focus has been on other items that needed my attention.
But things have changed.
I’m now able to focus more time and energy into helping people get the most out of being an independent contractor for Amazon. I am still as confident as ever that this is a great time to be involved in the role and that with the right mindset we can all achieve our goals. Whether that goal is extra money, full time money or just to keep busy, now is the time to capitalize.

I have the app but only have a 3 door hatchback…..technically that is not allowed. In your experience is a 3 door Vauxhall Corsa (the the back seats down) going to be big enough. and if so, will i get turned away? Thanks!
It would depend on the which service you are delivering for. You should be fine with normal Flex deliveries. If you pick up an order with a TV or something large that you don’t think will fit, just let them know right then. Most warehouses will make adjustments. If you are delivering for .Com there will be routes with deliveries that you can’t fit in your vehicle. In this case it won’t work out. Your best bet would be to stick to Flex shifts if you can.

Sorry for the delay in my answer. In the states, Flex drivers typically complete the orders that come in the same day and are 1 and 2 hour deliveries. These routes normally have fewer stops and don’t take as long so the amount of items you need to put in your car are mostly fewer. The .Com deliveries are the longer routes and more stops which puts more items in your car. The length of the shift should be a good indicator of which deliveries you are doing. The shorter the block, they are most likely Flex. Longer blocks lend themselves to .Com. Some warehouses may blend the two. It can vary. Best of luck to you.
Naw, you will be fine. Most days it wont even take up most of the room in the car.
Since the update I get a notification that if I register my vehicle I’ll get more slots if it’s bigger like a van. But what do they define as bigger car based van or swb van or lwb van?
I think they will decide what is considered bigger when you enter the make and model on the form.
Glad to have you back. Been wondering if you had quit driving. Thoughts on instant offers (in Phoenix for now at least)? I feel it will turn restaurant deliveries into a uber eats clone which sucks. Instead of getting a shift of 2-4hrs you now gotta make yourself available and get instant offers for $8-13/delivery. Now I gotta set up shop somewhere so I’m closer for deliveries. I live too far away to start from my house.
Thank you. Still driving, but my focus was needed in other areas so I didn’t have as much time as I would have liked to keep up with the site. There is definitely more time spent waiting with the instant offers. It’s one of those where you have to test it a few times to see if it’s going to be worth doing. Proximity to a nice starting point like you said is definitely key.
